TROPHIES AWARDED ANNUALLY AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

These trophies are generally awarded to members who have accumulated the most points through the year.

THE PHIPPS TROPHY
Originally given by Colonel Phipps, a founder member of the riding club, this trophy is a very beautiful mounted hunting horn. Awarded for the most points in all club competitions.

Awarded to the member gaining the highest number of points in OBHRC's Open Summer Dressage


THE CONEY SPURS
Originally a competition devised by Ann Coney on all aspects of equestrianism, starting at Bank Farm and tackling a variety of challenges at different venues, this trophy has most recently been awarded to the winner of the Fun Trec, a members’ competition with many elements, a fun challenge for any member.

 

DANESBROOK DRAGONFLY: MOST IMPROVED COMBINATION
The member who has progressed the most, not necessarily to the highest level but from their starting point at the beginning of the season.

 

THE HEATHER EDWARDS MEMORIAL TROPHY
The person who made the best contribution to teams (not necessarily a team member)

THE IAN CRIPPEN HORSE’S HEAD TROPHY

for the horse or pony who has attended all sorts of events and training during the year.
